1 t. salt
1 t. garlic powder
1 t. cumin
½ t. oregano
½ t. coriander
½ t. cinnamon
(4#) boneless pork shoulder roast
1 can chicken broth or can of coke
Mix all spices together. Coat pork with the mixture. Place the seasoned pork in a slow cooker. Pour the chicken broth around the sides of the pork, being careful not to rinse off the spice mixture.
Cover and cook on low until the pork shreds easily with a fork, about 6-7 hours. Turn the meat after it has cooked for 4 hours.
When the pork is tender, remove from the slow cooker, and shred with 2 forks. Use cooking liquid as needed to moisten the meat.
Place meat on a cookie sheet and broil 5-10 minutes, this browns, and dries out the meat. Use in tacos, enchiladas, and burritos.
