Lettuce Wraps

Ingredients

6 lettuce or romaine leaves   

1# ground beef/turkey or Italian sausage          

1t. minced garlic

½ t. minced ginger root

1/3 c. soy sauce

¼ c. hoisin sauce     

1-2 t. chili paste

1 T. fish sauce 

vegetables – such as mushrooms, onions, (diced small), and grated carrots

 

 

Instructions

Brown ground beef or Italian sausage in a skillet, sauté the garlic, ginger root, and chopped vegetables with the ground beef/sausage.

Stir in the soy sauce, hoisin sauce, chili paste and fish sauce. Cook for 5 minutes.     

Place the mixture on each lettuce leaf and wrap.

 

Notes

*I use Italian sausage (it may be a Wisconsin thing)
