Chimichangas

Ingredients

1 # ground beef or turkey

¼ c chopped onions

1 pkt. taco seasoning 

1 c. shredded cheese

6 flour tortillas

sour cream

cilantro, chopped

salsa

2 c. oil

Instructions

       Brown meat with onions in large skillet on medium-high heat; drain.  Add taco seasoning and ¾ c. water to the meat mixture.  Simmer 5 minutes.  Place some of the meat mixture and cheese on each tortilla.  Fold in all sides of tortilla to completely enclose filling, secure with a toothpick.  Place on a baking sheet; cover and refrigerate for 20 minutes. 

     Heat oil in large saucepan on medium-high heat.  Add tortilla pouches, two at a time; cook 5 minutes or until golden brown. 

     Serve with sour cream, cilantro, and salsa.
