Caramel Corn

Ingredients

1 c. butter

2 c. brown sugar 

¾ c. corn syrup

1 t. salt

½ t. baking powder   

1 t. vanilla

1 bag puffed corn

Instructions

     Melt butter in a saucepan.  Add brown sugar, corn syrup and salt.  Bring to a low boil, stirring constantly.  Boil gently without stirring for about 3 minutes. 

     Remove from heat.  Add the baking soda and vanilla.  Pour mixture over a bag of puffed corn. 

     Put in a roaster pan and bake for 1 hour at 250 degrees, stirring every 15 minutes.
