Butterscotch Sauce

Ingredients

1 c. brown sugar

1 stick of butter

½ c. half & half or heavy cream

2 T. corn syrup

1 t. vanilla

Instructions

     Cook the brown sugar and butter in a medium saucepan over medium-high heat, stirring often until the mixture bubbles and becomes lighter in color (3-5 minutes).

     Take off the heat, slowly whisk in the cream until the sauce is smooth.  Stir in the corn syrup and vanilla. 

     Let stand for 20 minutes and serve warm or cool.
