Taco Meat Seasoning

     To make taco meat, use 2 T. taco seasoning per 1# ground beef.

Ingredients

3 T. chili powder

2 T. cumin

1 T. onion powder

2 t. paprika

1 t. garlic powder

1 t. dried oregano

1/4 t. cayenne pepper

1 t. salt

1# ground beef

 

Instructions

     Mix all ingredients except taco meat.  Stir the spices well, making sure that all have been blended well.  Store mix in a container until needed.

     To make taco meat, use 2 T. taco seasoning per 1# ground beef. 

     Crumble ground beef and brown stirring well.  Remove from heat, rinse with hot water, and drain water and grease from meat. 

     Return meat mixture to the heat; add the taco seasoning and 1/2 cup water to the ground beef mixture. 

     Simmer until most of the moisture has cooked away. 

     Used for Tacos or Nachos
