Almond Poppy Seed Bread

Ingredients

Scale

3 c. flour             

2 ½ c. sugar         

1 c. plus 1 T. oil 

3 eggs   

2 t. poppy seed

1 ½ t. vanilla

1 ½ t. butter flavoring

1 ½ t. almond flavoring

Glaze

¾ c. sugar

¼ c. orange juice

½ t. vanilla

½ t. butter flavoring

½ t. almond flavoring

Instructions

     Preheat oven to 350 degrees. 

     In a medium bowl, stir together flour, salt, and baking powder.  In a large mixing bowl, combine eggs, oil, sugar, and flavorings and beat 2 minutes.  Alternate adding flour mixture and milk and then mix until just combined.  Add poppy seeds and mix until combined. 

      Pour into 2 loaf pans and bake 1 hour at 350 degrees.  When done put on cooling rack. 

     Prepare glaze by combining all ingredients until mixed.  Drizzle over loaves and allow to harden.
